Recommended Activated Carbon for Decolorization in Japanese Food Products
Taking the production process of powdered vinegar as an example:
In the production process of 1000 liters of brewed rice vinegar, 30 kg of sodium hydroxide is first added for neutralization to adjust the pH to 7.2. Then, under reduced pressure at 500 mmHg vacuum and 50°C, the solution is concentrated to 40% of its original volume, obtaining a sodium rice vinegar solution. Activated carbon is added to this solution and stirred for decolorization. After the activated carbon adsorbs pigments and impurities, they are removed by filtration. The filtrate is then spray-dried to obtain high-purity powdered sodium rice vinegar.
This process places strict requirements on the decolorization efficiency, filtration performance, and food safety of the activated carbon.
Huarui Activated Carbon Solutions
Huarui Activated Carbon is specially developed for decolorization and refining in the food industry, offering the following technical advantages:
1. Superior Decolorization Performance
Caramel Decolorization Rate: ≥100-120%, significantly effective in removing caramel color and other pigments from brewed vinegar.
Optimized Pore Size Distribution: A reasonable ratio of micropores to mesopores, balancing the adsorption of both small-molecule pigments and large-molecule impurities.
2. Food-Grade Safety Guarantee
Complies with GB 1886.363-2022 and US FDA 21 CFR 173.25 standards.
Ash Content: ≤3-5% (Acid washing treatment optional)
Heavy Metal Content: Lead ≤5ppm, Arsenic ≤3ppm, Mercury ≤1ppm
3. Excellent Filtration Characteristics
Particle Size: 325 mesh pass rate ≥95%, fast filtration speed.
Low soluble impurity content, preventing secondary contamination of the filtrate.
4. Process Compatibility
pH Value: 5-7 (weakly acidic to neutral), perfectly matched to vinegar production processes
Water-soluble content: ≤1%, ensuring product purity
